Sophia Antipolis


Sophia Antipolis is a technology park located near Valbonne in the Alpes-Maritimes region of France. It is home to many high-tech companies and research organizations, and is known as a center of innovation and technology in France.

Sophia Antipolis was founded in the 1970s and is named after Sophia, the personification of wisdom, and Antipolis, the ancient Greek name for the region. The technology park covers an area of about 2,000 hectares (5,000 acres) and is home to over 1,500 companies and research organizations, employing over 35,000 people.
